At Connection Mental Healthcare Rehabilitation Centre, our expertise goes beyond addressing addiction alone. Our approach is rooted in evidence-based practices, emphasising your overall well-being while assisting you in tackling troublesome issues such as addiction, and anxiety, mood disorders, past traumatic experiences, disruptive behavioural patterns, or personality issues that may be perpetuating your addiction.

The team

We have a passionate and talented team of experts with many years of clinical experience dedicated to providing you with customised care.

Our national and international specialists are able to leverage years of experience and knowledge in addiction treatment, enabling them to provide the best possible support for your recovery.

The multi-disciplinary team consists of highly skilled doctors, psychiatrists, clinical psychologists, social workers, occupational therapists, nurses, recovery assistants, sports instructor, and other support staff who will support you on this journey.

Addiction treatment

At Connection Mental Healthcare, we understand that recovering from addiction requires in-depth treatment and support. This is why our inpatient rehabilitation program lasts an average of four to six weeks, providing intensive group and individual therapy tailored to each client’s needs. 

Connection Mental Healthcare provides effective and intensive treatment to help our clients make real, sustainable changes.  To ensure a balanced approach, we also offer relaxing amenities such as access to the pool, the gym and walks on the beach with stunning views of the mountain range.

The story behind Connection Mental Healthcare rehabilitation centre

Our story begins with Hjalmar van Winkel’s desire to help those suffering from addiction. Drawing from his own struggle and experience, he founded Connection in 2018 in The Netherlands. The goal is to help as many people battling with addiction as possible and to provide the best quality care that truly changes lives.

Connection Mental Healthcare is one of five Connection clinics but is the only one located in South Africa. We offer private inpatient treatment care to local and international clients.

Through our mission at Connection, we provide people access to comprehensive support services. We aim to help individuals achieve successful long-term sobriety, leading the way towards a brighter future.
